Barnabas Health Care System's departments of Radiation
Oncology offer the most comprehensive radiation oncology services available
in New Jersey. Demonstrating a commitment to patient care and technical
excellence they are the centers of choice for radiation oncology services.
The most advanced state-of-the art facilities offer advanced specialized
therapies including three-dimensional conformal
external beam, high dose rate temporary implants, permanent seed implants,
intensity modulated therapy, ultrasound guided external beam localization
(BAT) and stereotactic radiosurgery. The physicians and staff within
the System meet regularly to establish cutting- edge treatment guidelines
to ensure quality care throughout the departments. This commitment to
quality also provides access to National Cancer Institute sponsored
research protocols in addition to innovative strategies developed by
our own physicians.
The Radiation Oncology departments of the Saint Barnabas Health Care
System is led by internationally known and respected radiation oncologist Dr
Robert Goodman. Radiation oncology
services are conveniently offered at five centers including Clara
Maass Medical Center (Belleville), Community
Medical Center (Toms River), Monmouth
Medical Center (Long Branch), Newark
Beth Israel Medical Center Center and Saint
Barnabas Medical Center (Livingston). Each facility is staffed by
Board Certified radiation oncologists and offers a full range of oncology
services including specialized nursing, physicists, social workers and
therapists. These services, representing a new level of excellence usually
available only in major metropolitan cities, are now offered in the
caring setting of your own back yard.
