David D'Ambrosio, MDDr. David D'Ambrosio

Formerly of Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA, Dr. D’Ambrosio began his residency at Fox Chase after completing his medical internship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s Cabrini Medical Center in New York City.  As part of an accelerated seven-year B.S./M.D. program, he earned his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in biomedicine at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education/City University of New York Medical School and his M.D. at State University of New York’s Stony Brook School of Medicine where he graduated in the top 5% of his class.  Dr. D’Ambrosio was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society for all U.S. Medical Schools.

His expertise includes intensity modulated and stereotactic radiation therapies, head and neck cancer, prostate cancer and lung cancer.  He is skilled in brachytherapy (radioactive implants) for prostate, gynecologic and thoracic cancers, including the use of high-dose rate temporary implants.

Dr. D’Ambrosio has made a number of national and international presentations at annual meetings of The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the American Radium Society.  He has also published several peer-reviewed research papers on prostate cancer and lung cancer.

Dr. D’Ambrosio is a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist. He is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America and the American Brachytherapy Society.
