Patients have the opportunity
to participate in various clinical trials. Clinical
trials are studies of promising new or experimental
treatments. These trials are offered either through
the individual institution or through a national/international
cooperative group. Both types of trials are generally
organized by the disease site of interest.

The features

Center. It also features an impressive

2001 cover. "The Relationship Between
Radiation Fields and Regional Lymph Nodes in
Carcinoma of the Breast" is one of two
breast-related articles included in the Volume
50, No. 1 issue.
The authors, Robert L. Goodman, M.D., Chairman;
Alison Grann, M.D.; Patricia Saracco, R.T.T., and
Michael F. Needham, C.M.D., are all members of
the Department of Radiation Oncology at Saint Barnabas. Their
article discusses the anatomy of the axillary lymph
nodes in relationship to the radiation fields. Five
color images are included in the article.
